Is there a safe, easy way to experiment with the DataBank?

Yes, feel free to practice. Any listings from a temporary DataBank you upload can be deleted from the People List once you are done experimenting.

To get started, you can use a sample DataBank file for your experiments:

1. Navigate to the PEOPLE tab -> Select Import DataBank sub-tab.
2. In the LINKS box on that page, you can download a sample CSV file and a template. You’ll also find formatting instructions there.

If you prefer to create your own CSV file instead of using a sample:

1. Download the Template.
2. Open it in a spreadsheet program.
3. Follow the instructions to format your data correctly.
4. Upload your file on the Import DataBank page.

Note: The DataBank import will only function if the format is exactly correct. While formatting the data isn’t difficult, it’s a good idea to allow yourself a few extra minutes the first time you use it.
