What happens if I de-select an individual as a Subject?

How to de-select a Subject?

If you have to remove an individual's Subject status, follow these steps:

1. Open the People List and select the Subject by adding a checkmark to the left of their name.
2. Click "More Actions" on the grid.
3. Select "Make Non-Subject" from the dropdown menu.

(Alternatively, you can click "Modify" in the grid for the Subject to open the individual's listing. Unselect the "Subject?" check-box. Save the change.)

What happens once you de-select a Subject?

After de-selecting a Subject, both the Subject and their Responders will remain in the People List, meaning these people will not be deleted from the project.

However, be aware that removing an individual's Subject status will automatically de-select all of their Responders, resulting in the loss of any submitted feedback. Even if you later re-instate the individual as a Subject, none of their old Responders will be re-selected, and the previously submitted feedback cannot be recovered.

Please consider this carefully before removing the Subject's status, as this action is irreversible.
