How Do I Set Up A Project In A Language Other Than English?

You can set up Panoramic Feedback using the characters and accents of many languages. They currently include most languages of Europe and the Americas, the Cyrillic languages, plus Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. See partial list below.

This feature allows both you and your Responders to enter text in any of the supported languages. Note: it does not provide a translation of the text; it accepts whatever text you and your Responders enter.

The following can appear in the characters of the language of your choice:

  • Website for Responders
  • Questionnaire
  • Subject's Report
  • Group Report (Project Aggregate Report)

It is easy to create Questionnaires and Reports in any supported language. Simply start a new Project, entering all text, including Auto Emails, in the language of your choice.

The OVERVIEW tab provides sample question lists in several languages.

Instructions

"Edit Default Text", allows you to translate the default text that appears in Questionnaires and Reports.

Examples of "default text":

  • On the Questionnaire, the text printed on the "Submit Response" button.
  • In Reports, the word "Confidential".

Save time setting up your next Project

The second and subsequent times you set up Projects in the chosen language, you will not need to repeat the steps described above. Instead, you can "Import" the layout of the previous Project.

See the additional information about Templates in the section below.

Test to be sure

To be certain that you have translated all the required text, preview and proof-read the questionnaire.

To check the Report, wait until a representative number of responses are received, then generate an "Interim" Report and proof-read it. (An Interim report leaves the Project open for further responses.)

Allow yourself extra time to make any changes necessary.

How to use more than one language

If you wish to present your Questionnaire and Report in more than one language, enter the text in both languages separated by a symbol such as "/".

Questionnaire example: "Aide les employés à s'adapter au changement / Helps employees adapt to change".

Scale example: "Très satisfait / Very satisfied".
